Home of the New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade, Pasadena is also host to world class museums, top restaurants, terrific shopping and both cultural and recreation facilities.  Located just 15 miles from downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena’s many neighborhoods offer tree-lined streets, historic buildings, charming neighborhoods and an abundance of architecturally significant properties. The population is approximately 134,000.
 
Pasadena was incorporated in 1886 and is today a sprawling city with a tremendous amount of charm, culture, history and fun.  Major employers include Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, Huntington Memorial Hospital, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, Pasadena Unified School District, Pasadena City College, Countrywide Credit Industries, City of Pasadena, SBC, and the Ralph M. Parsons Company.  Pasadena has 23 parks, totaling. 
 
Old Town Pasadena, currently undergoing expansive renovation, is a bustling business and entertainment district of restaurants, shops and loft-style urban living.  This area attracts visitors year-round and offers a lively night scene.  Similarly, Lake Avenue Shopping District is home to many well-known stores and restaurants within about a half-mile stretch of Lake Avenue.
 
Pasadena is home to the real estate communities of Garfield Heights, Bungalow Heaven, Madison Heights, Hastings Ranch, Old Town, Linda Vista, and San Rafael and is located in the zip codes of 91501, 91502, 91504, 91505, 91506, 91521, 91522 and 91523.

Farmer's Markets -
(1) every Saturday from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at Pasadena Victory Park, N. Sierra Madre Blvd. and Paloma Street
and
(2) every Tuesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at East Villa Street and Garfield Avenue at Villa Park.

Tournament of Roses, including Tournament House and Wrigley Gardens - Home of the Tournament of Roses Association and host of the annual New Year's Day Rose Parade.

Rose Bowl - Home of the Rose Bowl Game, Galaxy Soccer, UCLA football, monthly flea market and Aquatics Center.

Brookside Golf Club - adjacent to the Rose Bowl, public with two 18-hole courses, driving range, pro shop, putting greens and restaurant.

Norton Simon Museum - one of the world's finest private collections of European, American and Asian art. Special exhibitions, lectures and events. Sculpture garden.

Pacific Asia Museum - Extensive collection of costumes, ceramics, textiles, ornaments and paintings.

Art Center College of Design - Landmark steel-and-glass international style building. Three galleries of student and professional art. Classes offered.

California Institute of Technology (Caltech) - World renowned college and research center. Tours available.

The Gamble House - Turn-of-the-century Arts and Crafts home and furnishings.

Kidspace Museum - Hands-on exhibits for fun and exciting learning opportunities for children.

The Armory Center for the Arts - Exhibits, performances and workshops.

Jet Propulson Laboratory - NASA's space exploration facility.  Tours available.

Pasadena Museum of History - Local history and culture.

Pasadena Museum of California Art - California art, architecture, and design from the mid 1800's to the present.

Eaton Canyon Natural Area - 1750 North Altadena Drive, Pasadena. Part of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, with 190 acres of natural beauty. Hiking trails, nature center, gift shop and public golf course.

Pasadena Civic Auditorium - Home to the Pasadena Symphony and the People's Choice Awards. Center for conferences and conventions.

Old Town Pasadena Shopping District - retail stores, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants and movie theaters.

South Lake Avenue Shopping District - offering department stores, specialty shops and restaurants

Paseo Colorado - department stores, specialty shops, restaurants and movie theaters.

Pasadena Playhouse - A State Historic Landmark. Performances.

The Castle Green - seven-story Moorish Colonial and Spanish style hotel built during Pasadena's resort era.

The Bunny Museum - The world's only bunny museum with over 12,000 bunny collectibles.

Pasadena Ice Skating Center - On the site of what was once the ballroom in Pasadena's Civic Auditorium.
